The clients chose the increasingly popular Shaderunner Retractable Sails for their outdoor Courtyard & BBQ area, to provide the Shading solution for this stunning alfresco setting.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Together with the Shaderunner team, a design was chosen that incorporated 3 Sails, each being 5.5m wide and extending out to 9m.  Supported by 2 Stainless Steel wires for each Sail, they easily glide along the wires using the ball bearing yachting pulleys.

 

 

 

 

 

 

The manual system was chosen due to its simplicity of operation using an endless draw cord and tie off cleat system. The fabric chosen was a ‘Chalk’ colour, 90-95% UV block out Polyester Mesh material, that controls shade and glare reduction. And as you can see, the result is simply stunning!!
